Terms of service

These terms cover your use of seventeenmirrors.com.au and any purchase you make through it. The store is operated by SEVENTEEN CO PTY LTD (ABN 76 688 814 431), trading as Seventeen Mirrors. Contact us at hello@seventeenmirrors.com.au. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Orders and acceptance

When you place an order, you're making an offer to buy. Your order is accepted once payment is processed and you receive an order confirmation by email. We may decline or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, where there's a clear pricing or listing error, or where the delivery address is outside Australia. If we cancel an order, we'll tell you why and refund you in full.

2. Prices and payment

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, including major credit and debit cards, PayPal and Afterpay (Afterpay's own terms apply). Prices can change at any time, but you pay the price shown when you order. If we find a pricing error after you've ordered, we'll contact you before going further: you can proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

3. Stock and dispatch

Every mirror on the site is sold from stock held in Melbourne and dispatched within 2 business days of your order. If something changes after you order (for example a mirror is found damaged before dispatch), we'll contact you straight away and you can wait for a replacement or take a full refund.

4. Delivery

How your mirror reaches you depends on where you are. In and around Melbourne, we often make the delivery ourselves and arrange a delivery window with you directly.

Everywhere else in Australia, your mirror travels by tracked courier, and you'll get tracking details once it's on its way. Full costs and timeframes are in our Shipping Policy. Either way, delivery is to your front door or ground-floor entrance; we don't carry mirrors inside or up stairs, so for the larger pieces please have a second person ready. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery, by whichever method your order travels, and ownership passes once payment is made in full. If your mirror arrives damaged, our safe-arrival promise still applies: tell us within 72 hours and we'll replace it free, and you won't need to send anything back (see our Returns & Warranty page). We deliver within Australia only.

5. Returns, warranty and your consumer rights

Every mirror carries a 2-year warranty from delivery. We don't offer change-of-mind returns, and transit damage must be reported within 72 hours of delivery. The details are in our Refund Policy and on the Returns & Warranty page. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under that law.

6. Safe use and installation

Our LED mirrors plug into a standard power point, with an Australian plug fitted, and are rated for use on ensuite and bathroom walls outside the shower screen, not directly over a bath. If you choose to have an LED mirror hardwired instead, that work must be done by a licensed electrician in line with Australian wiring rules, and we'll ask for the electrician's invoice with any electrical warranty claim on a hardwired mirror.

7. Product descriptions and images

We do our best to show colours, finishes and dimensions accurately, but colours can display differently between screens, and listed dimensions can vary slightly with manufacturing tolerances (up to 5mm). If something about your mirror isn't what the listing promised, contact us and we'll sort it out.

8. Website use and intellectual property

The content on this site, including images, copy, logos and design, belongs to Seventeen Mirrors or its licensors and is protected by Australian intellectual property law. You're welcome to browse and shop. You may not copy, scrape or reuse our content for commercial purposes, interfere with the site's operation or security, or use the site for anything unlawful or misleading.

9. Reviews and feedback

If you send or post reviews, photos or suggestions, you confirm they're yours and honest, and you give us permission to use them to operate and promote the store. We may remove content that's unlawful or offensive.

10. Our relationship with Shopify

This store is powered by Shopify, which hosts the site and enables us to provide our services to you. Your purchases are made directly with Seventeen Mirrors, not Shopify, and Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of a sale between you and us.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in connection with a product is limited to the price you paid for it. Where legislation implies a guarantee or condition that can't be excluded but liability can be limited, our liability is limited, at our choice, to replacing or repairing the product or refunding its price. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Discounts and promotions

Discount codes are valid for 90 days from issue unless stated otherwise, can't be redeemed for cash or applied to earlier orders, and are limited to one code per order. Unless an offer says otherwise, a discount code doesn't combine with other codes, with automatic offers or with trade pricing. From time to time we run a promotion for a published period. Where we show a "was" price, it is the price we charged for that mirror immediately before the promotion. Any promotion runs only on the dates published with it, and the terms of each offer are shown with it.

13. Refunds on discounted orders

Where a discount or automatic offer applied to your order, any refund is worked out on the price you actually paid for the item being returned or replaced, not its full ticket price. None of this reduces a remedy you're entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Privacy

We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is the current one, and changes apply from the date they're published.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any dispute is subject to the courts of Victoria.
