Seventeen Mirrors (SEVENTEEN CO PTY LTD, ABN 76 688 814 431) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you shop with us or use seventeenmirrors.com.au, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address
- Order and payment details: what you bought, your transactions and payment confirmations (payments are processed securely by our payment providers; we never see or store your full card number)
- Messages: emails, forms and chat messages you send us, including warranty claims and delivery notes
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar tools
How we collect it
Directly from you when you order, contact us, sign up to our emails or send a trade enquiry; automatically through cookies and analytics when you browse; and from the services that help us run the store, such as Shopify, payment providers and email tools.
How we use it
We use personal information to process and deliver your order (including contacting you to arrange your delivery window), provide customer service and handle warranty claims, send receipts and order updates, send marketing emails if you've opted in (unsubscribe any time), improve the site and our range, prevent fraud, and meet our legal obligations, including tax and consumer law record keeping.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it's needed to run the business: with Shopify, which hosts our store; with payment providers to process your payment; with the tools we use for email, analytics and customer service; with our professional advisers; and where the law requires it. We never sell your personal information.
Some of these providers, including Shopify, store information on servers outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to keep your information protected.
Cookies
Cookies keep your cart working, remember your preferences and help us understand how the site is used. You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site, like the cart, may not work without them.
Marketing
We only send marketing emails if you've signed up, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing doesn't affect order and delivery emails, which we still need to send you.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as we need it: to fulfil your order, support your 2-year warranty, and meet legal and tax record-keeping requirements.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we no longer need. If you're not happy with how we've handled a privacy concern, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
