How we deliver: glass, care, and the trip to your door
Ask anyone who's freighted a mirror what arrived at the other end, and you'll hear the same story. Glass doesn't get second chances. A mirror is one of the most fragile things you can put in a truck, which is why the trip to your door is the part of this business we plan hardest.
Glass is our trade. Getting a mirror to your wall in one piece is ours to worry about, not yours.
How your mirror travels
Every mirror leaves us packed padded, corner-protected and upright, in cartons built for glass rather than for boxes that bounce. From there it travels tracked to your door, anywhere in Australia, and you can follow it the whole way.
If you're in or around Melbourne, Brisbane or the Gold Coast, there's a good chance the delivery is made by us personally. When it is, we arrange a window with you directly, so your mirror arrives when you're actually home rather than when a run sheet says so.
Prefer to collect it yourself?
Free pickup is available in Tullamarine (Melbourne) and Burleigh (Gold Coast). Add a note at checkout or reply to your order confirmation and we'll arrange a time that suits. You'll see your mirror before you take it, and plenty of locals tell us that's exactly how they want it.
What it costs
Delivery is a flat rate Australia-wide and free over a threshold, with the current figures always on the Shipping & Delivery page. No surprise freight calculator at checkout, and no price-on-application for the big pieces.
If something goes wrong
We won't promise nothing ever breaks. Glass is glass, and anyone who guarantees perfection is selling something. What we promise is what happens next: when your mirror arrives, check the mirror itself, not just the box. A dinged carton with a perfect mirror inside is a win. If the mirror is damaged, email hello@seventeenmirrors.com.au within 72 hours with photos and your order number. We'll arrange a free replacement, and you don't send the damaged one back. Beyond transit, every mirror carries a 2-year warranty from delivery, and your Australian Consumer Law rights always apply. The plain-English version lives on the Returns & Warranty page.
Getting it inside
Delivery is to your front door or ground-floor entrance. The large pieces are heavy and genuinely a two-person move, so have a second set of hands ready for the stairs and the final placement. We'd rather say that here than have you discover it solo in a doorway.
Once it's home
Two habits keep a mirror perfect for years. Anchor it: leaning mirrors get fixed to the wall with the supplied fixings, every time, no exceptions, and the installation guide shows you how. Clean it gently: a soft damp cloth and mild glass cleaner, never abrasives, which can mark the glass and the finish.
